Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
USB4Car collects the minimum needed to sell and activate licenses. There are no ads, no analytics trackers, no data sales — and your music never leaves your computer.
What we collect, and why
- Email address — when you buy a license, to deliver your key and let you recover it later.
- Payment — handled entirely by PayPal. We never see your card or bank details; PayPal sends us only a confirmation and an order reference (PayPal's privacy policy).
- Activation fingerprint — the app sends an anonymous machine identifier (a hash, never your files or personal data) so your license works on up to 3 computers.
- Settings sync — if licensed, your app preferences (language, chosen car, quality settings) are stored with your license so they follow you between computers.
- Compatibility feedback — if you tap "It works / It doesn't" after preparing a stick, we store the car model and the technical settings used. No personal data involved.
- Server logs — standard web-server logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp), kept briefly for security and debugging.
What we don't do
No advertising or analytics cookies — the site sets only a functional session cookie during checkout and on the contact form. We never read, upload or index your music collection; the app only reads your files locally to prepare your USB stick. We do not sell or share personal data.
Emails
Transactional only: your license key after purchase, and key recovery when you ask for it. No newsletters.
Your rights
You can request a copy or deletion of everything we store about your email address at any time — use the contact form. Deleting your data revokes your license, so we'll confirm before acting. EU/EEA residents additionally have the GDPR rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability and complaint to a supervisory authority.
